The Bristol Children's Scrapstore is a charity and work as ambassadors for children’s play! Their aim is to help improve play opportunities for children and young people and to reach as many children and young people as possible. They run a scrapstore, an Aladdin’s Cave of low-cost, varied and abundant scrap materials for creative play – safe surplus resources collected from business and industry. They also run Scrapstore PlayPod in schools, revolutionising children’s lunchtimes in primary schools. take forward the child rights agenda in both the developing world and the industrialized world.

Playday
Playday 2015 is on 5 August. Playday is the national day for play in the UK, traditionally held on the first Wednesday in August. On Playday thousands of children and their families get out to play at hundreds of community events across the UK. From small-scale events to thousands of children taking over Trafalgar Square – Playday is celebrated by each community in a way that suits them. As well as a celebration of children's right to play, Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children’s lives. Playday is co-ordinated by PlayBoard NI, Play Scotland, Play Wales and Play England. |

Play Daze is a beautiful play initiative taking place in North Carolina, USA, in September each year, and it celebrates the value of play. It is designed to provide a host of play activities for all age groups, toddlers to grandparents. Schools, child care centres, organizations, churches, families and communities are encouraged to create an event for Play Daze. These can last anywhere from one hour up to an entire weekend. Voluntary Arts Week
Voluntary Arts Week is an annual celebration of cultural creativity across the UK & Republic of Ireland.
