Music, Theatre & Dance

NCDUK 2020 is on Sunday May 17th and the week running up to it

The performing arts create perfect opportunities for children to express themselves and develop confidence. NCDUK is a wonderful time for children to celebrate their rights and freedoms through music, theatre and dance.
If you manage a music, theatre or dance group, what about planning a special performance to take place on NCDUK? Perhaps you could even choreograph a new dance or show, or write a piece of music, for the children in your group to perform on the day. That would be awesome - and truly memorable for the children!

If you're an individual, group or organisation and want to create a special day for the child/children in your life, here are some suggestions of activities you could plan:
  • A special performance of a dance
  • A special performance of a play or show
  • A special performance by an orchestra or choir
  • A visit to a live performance of music, theatre or dance
  • A family/neighbourhood gathering and sing-song
  • A musical bash using household utensils!
  • Make kazoos and play them
  • A music workshop with instruments to try out
  • Act out a fairy tale, hold a dance party
  • A fun talent show with family/friends/neighbours
